For the solo projects, I usually go by the following “recipe” : prototype concept, check if fun, iterate, iterate, iterate, check if fun, rinse and repeat (until it’s complete 😆) while keeping in focus the “gameplay first” mindset.

The solo projects’ purpose is twofold: to try new things (exploring genres and beyond genres) and improving + widening my skillset.
